Maintenance break affects student services during Midsummer week 2024

Lead paragraph

Maintenance work will be carried out in Haaga-Helia's data center during Midsummer week. Changing telecommunications equipment will cause extensive interruptions in network connections and many services from 18 to 24 June.

The maintenance break starts on Tuesday 18 June at 8 a.m.

During the break Moodle, Peppi, Zoom and Wihi do not work on campuses or remotely. All functions of these services are interrupted: for example, it is not possible to check your study records or enrolments, see your PSP, download certificates, use Lukkarikone nor see the study guide at Peppi. The electronic Exam system is not available from 17 to 24 June.

Internet and network connections on campuses will be cut off during maintenance. The computers on campuses are not in use. This means that the network cannot be accessed as usual and printing is not possible.

Services requiring HAKA login do not work, and it is not possible to use Eduroam with Haaga-Helia's credentials in other higher education institutions. It is not possible to enrol for open UAS studies during the break.

The campuses are open normally during maintenance work, but libraries are closed from 18 to 23 June.

Connections will be restored in waves from Thursday 20 June. Peppi will start working again on Monday 24 June and Exam on Tuesday 25 June. The aim is that all services will be working again from 25 June.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the maintenance break. Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation!

Download study certificates and transcripts of records and place orders for study services before the maintenance break

Certificates ordered from Study Services using the e-form must also be ordered well in advance of the start of the maintenance break. If you are applying for master's degree programmes and need certificate documents, ask for them from Study Services well in advance of the maintenance break.

Read Study Services' more detailed instructions here.

Studying is possible during the maintenance break – but Moodle is out of use and taking an exam is not possible at Exam

Please note, that Moodle cannot be used at all during the maintenance break. You can study during the break, when you save the instructions and materials of your courses and visit the library before the maintenance break and use your own computer and network connection.

It is not possible to take an exam in the Exam system from 17 to 24 June.
